Anyone has knowledge on Legislation of Fire Arms in Australia?

Im interested to know whther it is allowed to sell military style hunting guns- is the FIREARMS ACT 1996 is still intact?I read there that "Any self-loading centre-fire rifle of a kind that is designed or adapted for military purposes is prohibited"- any duplicates that remind these guns are also prohibited- but hunting guns are Ex military- not For military purposes? any one has any idea?
