Does anyone know the difference between an agreement and legislation?

(In terms of the law) Thanks!Does anyone know the difference between an agreement and legislation??? An agreement is a contract (verbal or written) between two or more parties. Legislation is the law, as set down by the elected legislators of your state/country/province/county etc.

The two are only distantly related.Does anyone know the difference between an agreement and legislation? Can you be more specific? An agreement is either oral or written between two parties and can be enforced legally sometimes if it is a legal agreement and legally made. Legislation refers to laws that are made by the legislature. It is something you refer to as an authority behind an agreement, perhaps.
