They think lowering taxes is the answer to every problem.Why wont the Republicans do legislation that benefits the people?I bet that even as you hit the post button you regretted this question.



You and I both know that Republicans have done legislation that benefits the people or they would have been wiped out long ago but sometimes you just want to get that little smackdown put in the forum because your angry or far too party loyal to see clearly what looms just beyond your face.



Personally I would give you a free pass on this one but its not up to me. Happy Tuesday anyway.Why wont the Republicans do legislation that benefits the people?

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. 5. You cannot lift the wage-earner up by pulling the wage-payer down. 6. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income. 7. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. 8. You cannot establish sound social security on borrowed money. 9. You cannot build character and courage by taking away a mans initiative and independence. 10. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

Forcing ideology on Americans is WAY out of line. Defending the entire Western World is WAY out of line. Huge government, massive taxes, etc, etc. Research what this country was intended to be.
Lower taxes so you can decide for yourself is the best deal any Party can offer you. This nonsense on how the Democrats "care" about you does not hold up to the facts. My State and city are run by Democrats and we have a 30% poverty rate. You call it caring, and I see it as extortion and bribery. Extort companies and taxpayers and bribe the voter. Nice results. I'll give you ONE example since that's 1 more than YOU can give to the contrary.



The American people favor LEGAL immigration %26amp; control of the border, making ILLEGAL entry harder. This is the position of MOST Democrat voters, MOST independent voters, MOST minor-party voters, MOST Republican voters, almost ALL Republican legislators and NO Democrat legislators. Since doing this has required Democrat cooperation your entire lifetime, it isn't being done. We got a pilot program started but upon regaining Congress Democrats made DE-FUNDING it a priority.



Another thing, not an example, exactly. Upon passing "Obamacare," YOUR leadership called it a victory OVER the people. How is it you even IMAGINE Democrats are not deliberately hostile to us?Why wont the Republicans do legislation that benefits the people?
Look back from 2001-2006. Our economy was booming, unemployment was low, and taxes were low. I would say that is benefiting the people. After 2006, all of this went away. Who is in charge of Congress? Democrats! I would say, "Why won't the Democrats do legislation that benefits the people?"
Like what? More entitlement programs? How do entitlement programs benefit people when we are forced to pay higher taxes for them? How much power do you want our government to have?



Republican have consistently lowered taxes for everyone. I can not think of anything that pleases me more. I get to keep more of the money that I earn. WOW! What a concept, huh?Why wont the Republicans do legislation that benefits the people?
If you are a leach then vote Democrat. They are the ones that support leaches like you. Republicans believe you should pay your own way if possible.



Companys can not pay taxes. Any taxes they pay are only passed on in the cost of the product they sell to the public.
If they had a majority, they would. If you don't like the legislation, blame the Democrats. They've had the majority for 4 years.
I was pretty happy with Health Savings Accounts.



Welfare reform (yep done by a GOP congress)



And several tax cuts, even though I didn't qualify for them. I don't know of any liberals who mailed back their checks cut from the government.
Government legislation rarely, if ever, benefits people.

Legislation results in more power being shifted to the govt and away from people at a very high financial cost every time.
Because they want President Obama to fail so that a Republican president can get in office. They even admit that right out in the open! They don't care who they hurt in the process. They just want the power.
They do but Obama care with all the new taxes and jobs lost is not going to benefit people either.



Tax cuts benefit people because it is my money I earn not the government's to take away.
They dont want to benefit the people. They only want to benefit themselves.
Like what? Punish 85% of the nation to help 15%, like Democrats do??
They don't seem to mind when billions are spent for killing people in other countries, but there is a huge uproar when billions are spent for health care for people in our own country.
Because they feel that the U.S.A. has a Government for and by the Government.
Because you don't qualify as a "person" unless you're rich.
you mean like a mandate that jacks up health care premiums by 40%

They do, it just benefits the rich (tax cuts on the rich, etc, etc)
They tried. Democrats are in charge, not Republicans.
Corporations have convinced them that THEY are people.
