I've been learning my constellations and have found a wealth of information on each one, but I can't figure out where the head/tail is in sagittarius, or the head/tail/wings in cygnus. Is there a site that draws them in some sort of idealized way so that simple folks like me can know what we're looking at?Know any sites/images with constellation figures drawn out?Skymaps has PDF star charts. It also has lists of objects to look for. If you want a chart of just one constellation, Wikipedia has it - Google the constellation. If you register at heavens-above.com, you can put in your location on Earth and get a star chart for any time of day or night.
There are three free planetarium programs. Stellarium, Celestia, and kstars. Download and install.
