Why is the constellation Gemini named that?

I need it for a Science project and can't find the answer.Why is the constellation Gemini named that?hey johnno.. you are bad.. well since my horoscope is gemini i will give you my own opinion..



there are two brightest stars alpha Gem Castor, and beta Gem Pollux in the sky at night and since both stars are both very illuminating at night and almost no difference in their appearance and brightness, they sometimes mistaken as one. Gem Castor and Gem Pollux are not so practical names and complicated to remember. to shorten the names it becames GEMiNI which mean according to Greek origin, and its meaning is "twin".Why is the constellation Gemini named that?

the words Gemini means twins in Latin and the constellation looked like two twin people in the sky. or something like that....Why is the constellation Gemini named that?there are two giant star from up above.. they most likely the same brilliants.. so they are named the gemini meaning the twins in greek mhyth
