I was wondering if the star Regulus from the Leo constellation can be seen in the Philippines in july?

Im going to the philippines in june-july 2009 and i was wondering if the star Regulus from the Leo constellation can be seen then. and how would i know how to find it? or how it looks like?I was wondering if the star Regulus from the Leo constellation can be seen in the Philippines in july?Regulus will set almost exactly at 8:30 PM this time next year as seen from Manila. Your location may be earlier or later. It will appear just above and west of Saturn in the western sky. In fact if you draw an imaginary line from Spica to Saturn the next star in your imaginary line should be 47 Rho Leo and then Regulus.

RA=10h09m01s Decl.= 12*18'42"

Good luck!I was wondering if the star Regulus from the Leo constellation can be seen in the Philippines in july?Yes, you can see Regulus from the Philippines in June and July, although you are more likely to see it in June rather than July because in July it becomes lost in the glare of the Sun at sunset.

If you would like, I can send you a star map showing the sky as it will appear from Manilla in June 2009, just after sunset. Just send me an email message requesting the map.I was wondering if the star Regulus from the Leo constellation can be seen in the Philippines in july?Leo is visible in the west just after sun set in the west in June and July. You should be able to see it now. Memorize the constellation and look. Regulus is quite bright.
