Still, making some lies a criminal violation, where it is necessary to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, instead of a civil violation, whose proof requires merely a preponderance of the evidence, and hits lying CEOs in the wallet rather than with jail time, which is paid for by the US taxpayer, is criminally stupid on the part of "get tough" Congressmen.



If you feel that Clinton, Ensign, Foley, Sanford, Vitter, Weiner et al ought to have been subject to federal criminal prosecution for the lies they told, then contact your US Senators and Representatives and demand that they pass a law which exposes all Congressmen to criminal prosecution as well as the loss of all government benefits and guarantees time at Club Fed upon conviction. Selectively targeting Anthony Weiner simply because you don't like his politics is juvenile.



If you can locate your shrunken testicles then you should demand that your US representatives criminalize this behavior right now, failing which you won't supporting them in the future and may, in fact,organize against them and by throwing your support behind those candidates who will criminalize this behavior. Write that letter and copy all the Editors of the newspapers you read and put your name behind that demand. At least then you will be acting like a man. A stupid man, but a man nonetheless.
