Just curious, trying to decide if I am a fan of his or not...Since the Obama Administration started, what significant legislation has he backed that has passed?Here are only a few:



1. Signed into law the Matthew Sheppard and James Byrd, Jr. Hall Crimes Prevention Act. The law strengthens protections against crimes based on skin color, faith, or ethnicity. It also adds federal protections against crimes based on gender, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation.



2. Signed into law that the airline industry must offer food and drink to passengers on delayed flights and that they must return passengers to the gate after a 3-hour delayed flight or they will be fined $27,500 per passenger.



3. Set aside $3.4 billion in Smart Grid Investment Grant Awards under the American Recovery %26amp; Reinvestment Act. It will be matched by power companies and others for renewable clean energy.



4. Signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Equal Pay Act so that your mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, etc., can get paid the same pay for the same work as her male counterparts.



5. Signed into law to lower the limits of levels of mercury in our water and air, which means it benefits not only the environment but also our kids.Since the Obama Administration started, what significant legislation has he backed that has passed?
He has backed and signed repeals of two Republican passed and signed Gun Control Laws. One signed by Reagan stripped us of the right to carry personal firearms in National Parks, one signed by Bush stripped us of our rights to carry personal firearms on trains. Now, thanks to President Obama you can carry your personal firearms(pursuant to local regulation) in National Parks and on trains again.



It is pretty bad when the Democrats have to restore Gun Rights because of backdoor Republican Gun Control.Since the Obama Administration started, what significant legislation has he backed that has passed?IF not for the Obama administration this country would be in a deep Depression , how quick have the repub's have forgotten that when Obama toke office this country was heading into a economic abyss of no return ,his economic polices stop all of that and we are seeing a recovery today .

Just few alone with the economies stimulus bill .
Well he passed legislation that makes him the biggest spender in world history , he bought car companies and banks , he spent money on his union buddies in the SEIU and UAW. He paid for Turtle Tunnels to be built in Florida something we cant possibly do without . -------Obama as a JR Senator from Illinois was voted as one of the top ten most wasteful spenders in Washington by Citizens against Government Waste [CAGW] gee i wonder why ?Since the Obama Administration started, what significant legislation has he backed that has passed?Making crimes against homosexuals a federal offense (Matthew Shepard Act)

Seeing as how the biggest thing he passed, the stimulus, has yet to prove that it can affect the economy in a good way, Obama has been a pretty lousy, weak and inefficient President so far. What he did for homosexuals was great but homosexuals and other Americans need JOBSSince the Obama Administration started, what significant legislation has he backed that has passed?
Credit Card Reform. You can now be late on your payments without major increases in Interest rates or Fees. The Banks simply raised their rates on everyone, and decreased credit lines in response. No wonder we still have 10% unemployment. Small businesses rely on those lines of credit to pay suppliers.



Liberals on here will thumbs down because they either do not understand how business works or they are a kids.
I would think the wasted almost 900 billions dollar pork bill that has created no jobs would have helped you make up your mind, or his recent raising our debt ceiling another 1.3 trillion. The trial of the terrorist in NYC should have you a bit concerned. Should I go on? What is it going to take?Since the Obama Administration started, what significant legislation has he backed that has passed?
In addition to the ones already mentioned he also signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter act.
The stimulus to pay back all his supporters, aka acorn.
the obama slush fund, AKA the stimulus bill.
